Colored Pencil on Paper, 18" x 14"
$500

This drawing in colored pencil is the head from a much larger oil painting done in the late 1980s. The original painting was a life-sized portrayal of me seated at the table on our balcony overlooking New York City. As I was making the transition to egg tempera after nearly 30 years working exclusively in oil, I chose this subject so that I could see the difference between the two media. I added the hand holding the flower and the lace border across the top to make the composition more interesting.
