Inspired by my time working at the American Littoral Society out on Sandy Hook near Highlands, NJ, this silverpoint drawing gave me the opportunity to experiment with atmospheric effects. Drawing this storm was a lot of fun! So was the challenge of drawing this beautiful osprey, caught in flight by wildlife photographer, Don Riepe. Thanks Don! And also, thanks to my models, Amberlee and Taylor who posed on the porch in 90 degree weather. Note, I did not make Taylor wear the sweater that day - I added that in the studio.
