Baguette Alone

I created this long narrow panel from a scrap cut from the end of the birch panel used for Circus Summer. What would be a suitable subject for a panel of these proportions.I love painting the glow of freshly baked bread.Should I paint a row of freshly baked rolls? It suddenly occurred to me that a baguette would fit perfectly. A trip to my favorite Red Bank bakery, Antoinette Boulangerie, secured a lovely baguette. After I made the silverpoint study, it made for a very tasty lunch.
