Folk Festival
Silverpoint, 18 x 24

This silverpoint drawing was inspired by my fond memories of the Middletown Folk Festival that came to a park near my home in my teenage years. This drawing is also the first major work created on a new kind of paper--Terraskin. It is made from crushed rock and a little resin. Because of the tooth created by the stone base, there was no need to prepare the drawing surface with gesso or paint.
