Crabbing
Silverpoint on Panel, 18 x 24"
$2,000

This drawing was inspired by memories of the times my father took my sisters and I crabbing on the Navesink River near our home in Red Bank, NJ. Blueclaw crabs were most plentiful in August so I enjoyed recreating this hazy scene marsh grasses and red-winged blackbirds on the still, still river of late summer. A single model posed for all three figures--I had a lot of fun creating different characters from the original photos and drawings. Guess which one is the real Grace?
